These are thin, tooth coloured porcelain shells, that are crafted with precision to bond to and cover the front of teeth of the front teeth.. They are like false finger nails for your teeth. Each veneer is custom made to blend with your existing teeth to give a very natural smile. With porcelain veneers, teeth can be made whiter, straighter and longer. Veneers are excellent option for treating chipped, discoloured, gappy or slightly misaligned teeth. It can take as little of a few weeks to transform your smile.
Crowns can be used to restore and protect broken, weak and damaged teeth. They act like a helmet for teeth. Crowns are long lasting, strong and comfortable. They are custom made to fit over the affected tooth and are shaped and coloured to match your surrounding teeth to create a natural smile. With crowns, teeth can be made white, straighter and longer. Teeth that have been crowned are usually stronger and more durable against the forces of chewing and grinding.
Dental implants provide a strong, long lasting and natural solution to the loss of permanent teeth. Permanent teeth loss can be due to trauma, disease and other reasons.
For those that are missing one or more teeth, here at Lifetime Dental Health Group we can guide you through the whole process. Dental implants can be used to replace missing teeth or as an anchorage for bridges and dentures. First our dentists will thoroughly examine your teeth, gums, and associated structures. Then at your consultation we can determine whether you a suitable candidate for implant dentistry and be able to achieve an ideal placement of the implant in the jawbone. A sterile titanium screw is carefully placed in the jaw and this acts as replacement of a tooth root. The jawbone is then given 3-6 months to fuse with the titanium screw to produce a strong and stable foundation to support the replacement crown, bridge or denture. After 3- 6 months, a crown, bridge or denture will be shaped and inserted to blend with the surrounding teeth to give a natural look and feel – completing the implant dentistry process. Our patients love their dental implants and chew all foods normally.
Gum Lift (Gingivectomy/ Gingivoplasty)
For those that have a gummy smile (showing too much gum when smiling) or for those that feel that their gum line is uneven, we can correct this with gum lifts or gum recontouring. Using our latest Picasso soft tissue Laser, our dentists can contour your gum line to achieve an even gum contour that compliments your new smile. Where gum margins are uneven and detract from a happy wide smile, a Gingivectomy or gum reshaping will enhance all the other work on the smile makeover. A Gingivectomy may also be required to help make cleaning teeth easier and prevent food packs.
